Jewelry with garnets
What about garnets... and the use of stones in jewelry
Czech garnet and other precious stones from the garnet group.

The designation Czech garnet is used to designate a stone of the Pyrop variety, from the group of minerals that we refer to as garnets. The designation Czech is linked to the location of the find in the Czech Republic. Garnets are mined industrially in the Czech Republic and around the world - by melting garnet-bearing sediment. In the Czech Central Highlands, they are also collected after the rain in the fields, or riced in the beds of the streams flowing through the localities where they occur. Natural garnets generally come from different locations around the world and can have different shades viz. below. Both types of garnets, Czech and other natural varieties, have similar chemical composition and properties, such as hardness and optical properties. Despite minor differences, these are similar minerals. The use of garnet in jewelry has a long history in the Czech lands.

Moldavit

The name of this precious stone of chemical composition SiO2 + Al2O3,

it originated from the place of discovery in South Bohemia near Týn nad Vltavou, where this stone was first discovered and described by Charles University professor Josef Mayer in 1787. Sometimes the name Moldavit is also used, after the German Moldau (the German name of the Vltava river).

Theories about the origin of the Moldavit family:

A meteorite fell near the German city of Nuremberg sometime in the period 14.5 million years ago. Molten rocks splattered into the surrounding area. Windfalls that fell in the form of drops or similar rounded shapes were etched after the impact in the then aggressive environment that prevailed on Earth. This gave rise to their characteristic sculpture.
